What’s the purpose of the treatment?
Think about what results you want to get from your spa day experience. Do you want to feel invigorated and full of energy or do you want to feel calm and relaxed?
If you are looking to feel invigorated, using citrus (oranges and lemons) products will do the trick.
If you are looking to feel calm and relaxed, using more subtly fragranced products will do you well. (Sandalwood, vanilla, lavender.)
Get organised
Get together all your things. For example, your robe and slippers, relaxing music, candles, towels and a body scrub
Meditate
Take some time to sit down and listen to your body and soul. Our bodies communicate with us through pain. If you have a pain in your back, then you know that is where you need to concentrate your soothing treatment. If your spirit is feeling down, then you know that you need a treatment that will leave you feeling energized.
Get started with the treatment
One of the easiest home spa treatments is a body scrub and hot bath. You can even get your partner to give you a back and neck massage. If you don’t have a partner to do this for you, you could give yourself a massage. Start at the temples, slowly moving in circular motions. Then move down to your neck. Take time to rest after a massage and a hot bath. You could even give yourself a facial.
Enjoy
When giving yourself your spa treatment, take the time to enjoy every moment. Try to forget about the things that stress you out and just enjoy the unwinding of your body.
